         Use advanced security software – The internet is stuffed with the virus, spam, malware, spyware etc, which can not only harm your computer but could also interfere your transactions through hacking. Thus, always choose good antivirus software and never let your security and privacy compromised.


        Look for data encryption – Always confirm before making a transaction whether the vendor’s website, on which payment form is available, is encrypted or not. The encryption is a measure of security to protect the date during its travelling over various networks. Various websites use SSL technology to encrypt the data, identified by a padlock icon and a URL that starts with “https”.


      Create different passwords – Many people usually create the same password for their different financial accounts to remember. It is a bad trick which can harm their security as if somehow any account of their gets hacked, the hacker can easily crack other passwords as well. 


       Avoid public computer systems – It cannot be ensured that the public system you are accessing is not infected with any security threat. Besides, password remembering feature in the computers can affect your security as well. So, always try to make the financial transaction from your personal gadget only.

  
      Ignore phishing mails – Never disclose your confidential information to any unknown mail from the bank, financial institution or any other company, claiming some contest winnings or promotional offers.
